Frau Monteurin / Kadın Montajcı
Ahu Dural
curatorial support: Bettina Siegele

In her artistic practice, Ahu Dural explores the intersections of architecture, art history, and design, drawing on gender theory and identity politics to question conventional narratives. As a sculptor, she transforms memories, stories, archival material, and sketches into spatial constellations that open up new narrative dimensions, allowing for a broader culture of remembrance. Her own biography and upbringing serve as a catalyst, merging personal childhood memories with the traces of a history shaped by industry and migration. The exhibition Frau Monteurin / Kadın Montajcı is part of the annual programme Chronopolitical Explorations curated by Bettina Siegele.
