The Künstler*innen Vereiningung Tirol invites you to a free reading on Saturday, 08.11.2025, at 2 pm with Ahu Dural as part of the Premierentage 2025 at the Kunstpavillion. In the reading, the artist transforms memories and archival material into new spatial constellations and narratives.

The reading takes place as part of the solo exhibition Frau Monteurin / Kadın Montajcı by Ahu Dural at the Kunstpavillion.

In her artistic practice, Ahu Dural explores the intersections of architecture, art history, and design, drawing on gender theory and identity politics to question conventional narratives. As a sculptor, she transforms memories, stories, archival material, and sketches into spatial constellations that open up new narrative dimensions, allowing for a broader culture of remembrance. Her own biography and upbringing serve as a catalyst, merging personal childhood memories with the traces of a history shaped by industry and migration. For the exhibition in the Kunstpavillon, Ahu Dural also takes a look at the history of labour migration in Tyrol. The exhibition Frau Monteurin / Kadın Montajcı is part of the annual programme Chronopolitical Explorations curated by Bettina Siegele.
