FAQs OPEN CALL Annual Programme Kunstpavillon & Neue Galerie

Who can apply?
The call for submissions to the annual programme of the Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol is open to national and international artists, artist groups and curators.

How do I apply?
Documents can be submitted directly via our online platform on the homepage of Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol. Only one PDF file, max. 10 MB, may be uploaded per applicant. In addition, it is necessary to fill in a data sheet online.
Submission by post is also possible (Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol, Kunstpavillon, Rennweg 8a, 6020 Innsbruck; please do not send originals!).
It is still necessary to fill in the data sheet online when the application documents are submitted by post.
Submissions via e-mail are not possible and will not be taken into account!

Why haven’t I received an e-mail confirmation after submitting the online form?
If you have not received a notification, please check your junk mail folder. Some e-mail servers block automatic confirmation e-mails, so please make sure that this function has been deactivated
beforehand. If none of the above applies, please contact us via e-mail office@kuveti.at.

Can submissions be sent after the deadline has expired?
The submission deadline expires at 23:59 CEST on the specified date (30.06.2025). Submissions uploaded after this deadline cannot be considered.
The postmark is valid in the case of postal submissions.

How many projects will be selected?
Depending on the annual programme of the Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol, three to five exhibition projects will be selected by the jury.

Can individual works also be submitted?
Both individual works and concepts for an entire exhibition can be submitted. However, the chance of being selected increases if an overall concept is submitted.

Can older works/exhibitions also be submitted?
Yes, existing works or exhibition concepts that fit the open call can be submitted. It does not matter whether they have already been presented to the public before.

How long is the duration of the exhibitions?

The average exhibition period is 13 weeks for the Kunstpavillon and 10 weeks for the Neue Galerie.

Can I also submit a performance?
The call is looking for exhibition projects. Performative works are very welcome, but should also function as an exhibition or be conceived as part of an exhibition.

When and how will I find out whether I have been selected?
The jury meets in late summer of each competition year. All participants will be informed by e-mail after the jury meeting.

Why haven’t I received a letter of rejection?
We will use the e-mail address you entered in the online form to send out acceptances or rejections. If you have not received a notification, please check your junk mail folder.
Some e-mail servers block automatic confirmation e-mails, so please make sure that this function has been deactivated beforehand.
If none of the above applies, please contact us via e-mail office@kuveti.at.

Is it possible to apply for additional public funding for my submitted exhibition project?
The Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol is funded by the City of Innsbruck, the Province of Tyrol, and the Federal Ministry of Housing, Arts, Culture, Media and Sport. For this reason, it is not possible to apply for any additional funding for exhibition projects in our exhibition spaces from these three regional authorities.
Third-party funding from other funding bodies (e.g. EU, private foundations, municipalities, etc.) is possible; however, it must remain in balanced, realistic relation to the production budget provided by the Künstler*innen Vereinigung Tirol.

What technical equipment is available for the exhibition?
Please enquire to office@kuveti.at, and we will send you a list of the technical equipment available. Additional technical equipment such as projectors etc. is hired from an external partner. We are happy to provide a realistic estimate of the hire costs on request.

Are transportation costs part of the production budget?

Yes, transportation costs are part of the production budget.

Are floor plans of the exhibition venues available?
On our homepage you will find photos and floor plans of the exhibition venues Kunstpavillon and Neue Galerie.

My exhibition project has been selected! What help can I expect to realise my exhibition?
The selected projects will be curated by artistic director Bettina Siegele. Our production curator Cornelia Reinisch-Hofmann is available to help with the production of the exhibition; in close coordination with the artists, she will be responsible for smooth on-site organisation (including transport, insurance, etc.) and production. A team of technicians will be on site to set up the exhibition or exhibition display.
